The National CNG Forum (NCNGF) is Nigeria's foremost stakeholder-driven platform dedicated to advancing the adoption, growth, and sustainability of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a cleaner, more affordable, and economically viable alternative energy source.
Established in February 2025, the Forum was born out of a shared vision among key players within Nigeria's emerging CNG industry who recognized the need for a unified platform capable of representing stakeholder interests, promoting collaboration, addressing industry challenges, and supporting the development of a robust and sustainable CNG ecosystem.
What began as a collective initiative of CNG conversion centers has evolved into a national movement that brings together stakeholders from across the entire CNG value chain. Today, the Forum comprises CNG conversion centers, CNG marketers, CNG refueling station operators, gas distributors, gas infrastructure developers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, transport operators, fleet owners, logistics companies, vehicle dealerships, automotive service providers, technical professionals, investors, development partners, researchers, training institutions, and advocates of sustainable energy solutions.
Recognizing that the future of Nigeria's transportation and energy sectors requires strategic collaboration, NCNGF serves as a central platform for engagement, advocacy, policy dialogue, knowledge sharing, investment promotion, capacity development, and industry coordination.
In 2026, the National CNG Forum was formally incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), further strengthening its institutional credibility and positioning it as a recognized voice of the CNG industry in Nigeria.
Today, the Forum continues to work closely with government agencies, regulators, policymakers, industry leaders, development partners, and consumers to accelerate the adoption of CNG and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria's energy transition agenda.
